At last, official names for the students seen in Chapter 14, and Roboco's ERROR presence confirmed with Yuki! I wonder if Shino discovers information in the library not related to the woods as she determines to in the previous chapter, but something relating to her and her friends' fate judging by the thumbnail displaying Nanase, Yae, Shiina and Honoka (and their names that have been crossed out), and the [welcome] arrival of the new characters. The whole strange state of Aogami seems to be the machinations of whom appear to be the deceased children of the past, and considering Chapter 5 and the Train Arc, they have quite a number of the talents' characters among them. Is Shino's investigation and desire for friends going to lead to her saving those claimed by the children of the forest? Edit: Okay I wasn't expecting to be correct on the notion of the book,, but hot damn, now that nebulous Shino has been a bad force all along, and is more likely a child trying to claim her soul for the legion of sacrificed children.

So on the brink of death, Shino refused and entered a midway space, where she could live with all the friends she made before the heavy rains and the collapse of the school and disasters in the town. And then, her mind split into 2. The part that wanted to continue staying there, a spirit adrift, in a space that did not truly exist. The part that wished to move on to the afterlife. Both begin struggling against the other, with the Blue-eyed Shino pushing the spirit to the truth, to accept it and move on, while the Brown-eyes Shino became the part that wished she had more time with all the friends, all the miss opprotunities. The Shino being led around, ignorant to what occurs from time to time? That is the soul. Being led around by the split mind, unable to move on until they become whole once more. Now all that remains, is for Shino herself to just.... move on.

"Are you going to repeat the same thing again? ...You never change. You'll just keep running away, forever." Those words struck out immediately, as once again, Shino returns to her fantasy. Honestly, Shino being dead is not _that_ surprising, as it has already been hinted at in Chapter 8, where her eye color was brown instead of blue. And now, we're going back in time where Shino has "graduated", with Kana, Kanade and the others. It's hard to say what will happen in Chapter 20, but we can make some guesses. If we're to assume that Shino *is* dead, then this maybe the start of Shino breaking the cycle. What do I mean? Look at how Shino reacted to what she found in the Library. No sane person, in her situation, would accept it as true, even though it *IS* the truth. This shows us that Shino is in _denial._ If we're to assume that the Manga videos will have 24 Chapters, we can safely say that the rest of it have a chance of following the 5 stages of grief. Following _that,_ after denial, comes _anger._ We can assume though, that the angry person is not Shino, but the transfer student who stole Shino's appearance in the First and Train Arc. Because after seeing Shino essentially backing off of wanting to know the truth, this enrages her, and will probably force her back to the abandoned Aogami High. But, if Shino's the one who'd be angry in the next Chapter, it'll probably because of the transfer student too. We can also assume that Chapter 20 will start with Shino and group walking towards the entrance to the Aogami Forest, and suddenly everything around Shino will start to glitch; the environment, her surroundings, even Kanade and the others. And out comes the transfer student. Shino would then put the blame on the transfer student, forcing her away from the place where she "belonged." EDIT: So now it seems the "flashback" we saw at the train arc wasn't one, it was just more like a vision of the future, a place where Shino can deny that herself and her old friends were gone that rain day....

So, looks like I was right. Shino did die in the landslide, and all these different school lives are either her refusal to move on to the afterlife, or her being trapped by something (the curse of the vengeful children?). Either way we just started again with Towa, Kanata, Flare, Luna, and Roboco. Given how close we are to the end, I wonder how it'll go this time?
