I think the strangest bit of slang that my friend group has is "You're dying in a backpack." which is replied to with "I'm dying in a backpack." It originated from a D&D session where the halfling wizard was hit by a fireball while hiding in another party member's backpack. It's used whenever someone is in a situation in a game where they are injured or wounded in a way that is unexpected but kind of funny.

OtsuRuze! This is the year of the Ruzade! Frick 'em supreme! To answer your question: So a little context: I always had cats my entire life. And all our cats are usually pretty smart. But at one point, we had this older grey cat, named Marty. And Marty was... not the brightest cat we've ever had, to put it simply. He would often space out, not pay attention to things, he was clumsy.... A sweetheart, but kinda of an airhead. So, in our house, we kinda came up with the slang "Martying" ("Martyando", I'm translating from portuguese), whenever one of us or our cats starts acting kinda like an airhead, and that's our slang

To answer the question on slang: Me and one of my close friends shortened "What's up?" to "Wup?" If I think of any better examples of friend group slang, I'll add more because tbh that was just the first one I thought of. Edit: Oh! I actually thought of one my husband came up with: "Livain't." pronounced Liv-ant. It's what we say to each other when we have a feeling of wanting to cease to exist for a period of time so that we don't have to experience something annoying or boring.

【💢: What is some slang that is personal to you and your friendgroup? 】 I have a few ones for this actually! 1- Lachs German word for salmon We watched a video about snails committing tax fraud once and one of my friends accidentally refered to one of them as a salmon. So whenever we see something new we jokingly use "Da isser der Lachs" (-> There is the salmon) 2- Adding Sch to the start of our names and random words This is kind of the lore behind my username, but in german we use 'sch'. We thought it would be funny to add it to the start of our names and random words. e.g. my real name is Lena so they started calling me Schlena :3c Stream was super HYPE!! Thank you for opening up to us about such a emotional topic too Ruze! Excited for the future and happy to be part of the RUZADEEEE OTSURUZE

My queer platonic partner and I are always using silly slang with each other! We like to cuddle together watching streams or playing video games and when one of us needs to reposition we say we need to "hot dog." I dont even know how we started that one.

Frick 'Em Surpreme! Our family word that we use all the time is Floop. Our youngest cat does this thing where she just falls kind of on her side like flopping over but she does it so bonelessly that she almost flips and somehow we ended up calling it flooping. She will do it without looking beforehand so she just floops onto the other cats, onto people and one time flooped right off the bed. The scariest time she was trying to be cute and flooped off the mounted cat hammocks we have in the room which is about five or six feet up from the floor. So she didn't get hurt but man it gave me a scare. Now when we ourselves come home tired and kind of bonelessly fall into our chair/couch/bed we call it flooping as well.

I often forget that saying "bingus" as a reaction to seeing a hot character is Not in fact universal and it's tied to an emote of that one bald cat cause that's my friends and i's reaction to pwetty characters. Similarly, "would" but I think that one's far more common. Another one is "Worming" when wanting to talk about OCs or AUs or our favorite characters or ships cause it came from "worms" from "brainworms" cause we are plagued by the brainworms of our favorite fictional lil guys.

THANK YOU FOR THE RUZOLVE !! FRICK EM SUPREEEEME. not gonna get TOO sappy bc i've left too many long sappy comments, but your drive and your work ethic is very admirable and inspiring and i hope we both reach the stars, and if i'm lucky i'll be close enough to throw a rock at you or something. also one of my friend groups just says "becky" when someone posts something that was literally just posted earlier in a discord channel, based off of a friend doing that and another friend responding with "becky do you have a scroll wheel" 😭

OTSURUZE I've got some weird *sort of* slang that my family uses, which is pretty much just to change the start of random words to 'b' - most often 'bomatoes' instead of 'tomatoes' for some reason? They also use the term 'mizz' for a particular type of rain, when its so light that its not even proper raindrops but you still somehow get soaked. I thought that was a term everyone used until I confused my friends with it lol I asked my family and it apparently comes from saying "its miserable" whenever the weather was ass, which gradually shortened into "its mizzing" to refer to that particularly annoying type of rain.

I just remembered another one my family uses. So my entire family on my moms side use the term "special moment". It is used for whenever a guy is coming on too strong, or is pretending to be a friend with the intention to become more. It came from my younger sister had this friend that kept trying to get her gifts and "love bomb" her but she could kind of tell they weren't really gifts without strings attached so kept rejecting them. The guy after I think the tenth one (where he wanted to buy her a car) sent her a like 3 page essay in a text about how he thought they'd "shared a special moment" and so basically assumed they were dating, and how distraught he was that she basically gave him the lets be friends talk. Somehow the gossip went to all the family and even some extended family members use it now. Of course a lot of times jokingly like "oh the person at the drive through didn't give me extra cheese, guess they didn't recognize our special moment" 😅

I think the main examples I can think of is calling spiders spimbles and the term "vile beetle" to describe something/someone you find awful in the way where you want to keep them safely contained in a glass jar and observe through from outside of biting distance. This was a great stream! Thank you so much for it, Ruze. Frick 'em supreme

As someone who's known about you for less than a week, I've had a ton of fun with your streams and starting to watch more VODs, never ever feel bad about restructuring membership stuff. You're literally one person doing a shit ton of stuff all the time. I spent about 65 hours in Blue Prince, including doing some post-credits stuff, so...yeah. It was a fantastic game though! Also, FRICK EM' SUPREME

Thank you for the ruzolve! During a dnd session my best friend made up a swear word that can be translated to something like "beavercrum" and it sounded so natural, whimsical in a way even, we started using it in our daily lives

I don't think my friend group uses unique slang. We'll have inside jokes for past funny moments or favorite jokes, references, or traditions, but that's not the same as slang. Glory and honor to the Ruzade!

THIS IS THE YEAR OF THE RUZAAAADE Thank you for the big effort, thank you for sticking with us and always giving your best... I almost broke when you said we are your world cause... Tbh, you... you also are our world for a lot of us and I know that kinda sounds weird or parasocial, but lemme tell you something... Some of us have it kinda rough in our lifes for many reasons, many of us lost interest not only on hobbies or else, but in the big meaning of... living or doing anything to keep on... and at least for me, being here in a cozy space where I'm not judged, where I am meant to have fun and forget about everything else.... well, it gives me a purpose, a reason to try better and harder, a community where I finally feel like I belong to... And that's kinda cwazy but it makes me so incredibly happy... So for as long as you wish to walk with us in this form and shape, believe me we'll be here! Growing and learning and having our place with our stinky monster hunter Sorry for the sappy! ABOUT THE QUESTION, I don't really remember using slang with my friends also if I do, could probs be hard to translate to this language. THO we got a lot of inside jokes! I've also been lucky to find some cool IRL and internet friends in this life :3 so yippeeeeeeeeeeee

Otsuruze! Thank you for all the updates and yapping today keep working hard, even if networking and growing is scary For context, I am Filipino, I live in the US, and I have a lot of Filipino friends where I live. We have this system where we call someone older than us a “kapatid” which means “older sibling” and someone younger than us an “ading” which means “younger sibling” in Tagalog Basically, whenever a friend does something that another friend relates to, that second friend goes “THAT’S MY ADING FOR REAL” or “LET’S GO KAPATID”
