The best advice you can give to a gamer learning a complex TCG is not to consider interaction in their plays. You want to advance your plan and tell your opponent that they better have the the out.

Fun fact: In the TCG, Lunalight Tiger was banned 6-7 years ago due to people constantly recycling her and making absurd and unbreakable boards. She got unbanned a couple of years later.
