Earlier this week I my fifth birthday since falling into this insanity. I can honestly say being here has changed and possibly saved my life. It’s been an amazing five years and I plan on cheering you on for many years to come. On to year 6…and 7…I’m sorry, blame Wawa.

So it's a bit complicated because while Remedy made Max Payne 1 and 2, Rockstar owns the rights, so the connection is that Alan's primary book series is Max Payne in all but name

Funfact: Originally Alan Wake was going to be open world, they scrapped but kept most of the map, that's why we have driving segments like this.
