38:14 I knew a guy who got given glasses in basic training for the first time. He had no idea how blind he had been all his life, he was so happy. He didn't even care that those glasses are designed to look humiliating, he loved them.

1:30:30 behold the master with her paint skills. As she draws an elaborate and ornate wine cabinet. Also the adorable Kirscheism of referring to gold decorative gilding as "guilt/guilting". Could be worse though, she could be misnaming it as "Gelding" that would be terrifying to see on a cabinet.

Elijah and Sydney Watson were, on a podcast called You are Here. During an episode of the You Are Here podcast hosted by Sydney Watson and Elijah Schaffer, Murphy became visibly aggressive after guest Sydney Watson questioned him about his past writings. The Context: The tension began when Watson brought up controversial articles Murphy had written years prior, which some critics labeled as "cuckolding" content or contradictory to his current "manosphere" brand.

I'm near sighted in my left eye far sighted in my right. It sucks because if I take my glasses off if I'm not in a small room I instantly get a headache.

Your fruit salad going bad faster... I asked grok about the possible causes. It seems complicated - contaminated glass jar - older fruit due to supply chain delays if living higher up north - if there are mold spores in the air, exposure happens every time you open the lid - gas from certain ripening foods, like bananas and onions, will permeate the lid - is the fridge one big box or does it have compartments? is what's stored in it any different than what you've stored before? is the fridge's cooling balanced? would the salad last longer if placed at the back wall (mine is at its coldest back there)?

39:44 there's another version of lasic, I can't remember what it's called, but my friend wo wants to be a pilot got it instead of lasic becase it didn't involve cutting through your eye lenses and reattatching them through pure wet suction as lasic does, because changes in air pressure can mess with that and cause them to detatch again. 40:21 PRK! That's what it was.

57:08 looking through a tiny hole improves vision because it limits the angle light rays can enter your eye, thus increasing your depth of field. The smaller the hole, the more directly the light enters your eye. The comment about being better at night is actually reversed. It can get better during the day in bright light because your pupil closes down similar to a pinhole in paper or the thumb and finger trick. Photographers probably understand this intuitively when it comes to lens aperture and the relation to depth of field. There's also something called pinhole photography. I've seen people make legit cameras out of cardboard boxes and slide film, and the "lens" is just a tiny pinhole in the front of the box. Because the hole is so small, the depth of field is near infinite, so there is no focusing involved.

I lost sight in my left eye at the age of 3 due to a Yard Rake accident. My parents tried with contacts in my right eye, and it barely helped with my vision. Also, it was a bitch to take out, painful too, so we just stuck with glasses instead.

1:42:54 I wouldn't want an actual silver collectible coin. If it's silver I'd want to be able to spend it in a pinch, but if it's a collectible keepsake, I wouldn't want to spend it.

Auto-tint glasses don't work in cars so they don't protect you from the bright snow where it matters
