THANK YOU FOR THE HOLOMARCHES !!! i sent the stream to a friend (who knows nothing about holostars) during the session and they tuned in right at 1:02:01 which is a GREAT first impression, but they are also a DM and ended up really liking this and they will likely tune in for more holomarches sessions so WAHOO CAN'T WAIT FOR SESSION 5 !!!

Just finished the VOD and what an amazing session it was. Wrangling 5 players isn't easy, but you did a great job at pacing the back-and-forth between parties in the beginning Ruze, and everyone did good at sharing screentime and attention onwards. I wasn't familiar with Leizu beforehand but he turned out to be such a good addition to the HM cast - great roleplayer and obviously quite familiar with D&D 5e and willing to patiently help newer players, I hope we'll see more of him in future sessions! (and as a DM, having at least one veteran player who knows the rules and keeps track of all kinds of stuff in battle is a godsend) And Jowol was great too, interesting character with a cool design (didn't know he was an artist!) and a willingness to RP with both PCs and NPCs - just needs to get a quick exorcism to fix his rolls before his next session. Judging from the way he dealt with the situation with the Petal Drakes, he seems to also have a knack for creatively approaching and solving encounters that some other, more murderhobo-y party members might benefit and learn from. Overall, I'm just really glad to see the Westmarches nature of the campaign truly taking form with new peeps from outside Holo already joining and dropping in - I was worried that Holomarches would end up falling by the wayside with the other boys being so busy and not necessarily as invested as the DM, but I now have renewed hope that we'll keep seeing more of it (and maybe more players) for quite a while! The session itself was also a perfect balance of RP, exploration and encounters - although judging from last session's TPK and how hairy the crab fight turned out to be, I guess encounter difficulty might need to be... scaled to the intelligence level of the decisions all of these guys tend to take, and their (un)willingness to stand together and fight as one. Or maybe the first true death will be a great teacher in that regards. And thank god for Hani being here as the voice of reason and moral compass of the party, TTPRGs are all about player freedom and agency but these boys really need to be sheperded sometimes. One last note, a bit of unsolicited advice (to freely take or leave) : Ruze, you seemed to have a ton of things to juggle in OBS (especially during the boss encounter), and one of them was switching to the appropriate character sheet on screen eveery player turn/roll which (understandably) wasn't always done - something which I noticed also happened in previous sessions. I was thinking that you could maybe just make a gif/slideshow of the relevant player sheets for the session and have them evenly rotating all through the stream - that would be one less thing for you to deal with, and for us viewers, player turns are typically long enough that the appropriate sheet would come on screen eventually, and it'd be easier to mentally keep a rough estimate of everyone's stats at any time. With that said, Holomarches is imo one of the highlights of StarsEN content as a whole, eagerly awaiting the next session!

This had to be a humbling experience for Axel and his signature technique, lmao. I loved that Bettel didn't forget his loot goblin tendency, and looted Octavio's unconscious body, immediately after getting revived. Altare, Axel, and Jowol's rolls were insane. Leizu's transformation was something inspired by One Piece, I loved it!

This was a DMing masterclass. Moving scenes forward in a way that keeps the pacing up but never rushes anyone. Guiding the less experienced players on their options but never taking away their agency. And that's before we even get to the creative encounter design and RPing of the enemies as more than just sacks of HP, and the deft combining of multiple story threads in a way that makes sense and leaves you in a great place to continue from. Great mix of players, too. Both newcomers were awesome and Axel, Altare and Bettel will never not be fun to watch. Glad to see everyone move to level 2; they're ready for slightly more options and tactical choices, I feel. Keep up the great work, Ruze and everyone else, this is a real treat.

This was so much fun!!! It was great to see a mix between familiar and new players for this session. Honestly there were so many fun moments, it's hard to choose a favorite . Everyone had their moments to shine, cool action, and interesting interactions . This session is pretty self contained but it's nice to see the tiebacks and references to prior sessions. Looking forward to the future ones

Finally Session 4!!!!!!!!!!!! First of all, thank you so much to Ruze and all the guys who played in this session! It was very funny and interesting as always! I loved many parts of it but I ALMOST CHOKE when they were talking about Ananda if they are human or not and Count Kristoff just randomly drops "So your mom married a goat"... MAN I SNORTED SO HARD!! Also I really enjoy how fluid the battle against Garglk'n and the fish men was! Finally I want to do a huge shoutout to Leizu and their rp skills to portray Ananda in such an epic way!!! MAN, THE MOMENT THEY NARRATED ANANDA'S TRANSFORMATION?!?!! ABSOLUTELY PEAK. Thank you all!!! AND OTSURUZE!!!!!!!!!!!!! das my kami oshi ~ yippeeee

Thank you for the session Ruze!! Two things that stood out to me was definitely whenever Draymond said anything I was left in shock and tears from laughing. Also I loved how you came up with different ways Godwyn, Bodvarr, and Infant were all coincidentally knocked out since Armis couldn't join, it didn't feel strange at all and I can't wait till the boys find out what happened to them!

All the work you're putting in as a DM is shining through-- each stream is a delight to watch >:3 it's so fun to see all the players interact with the world and each other in creative (and noncreative) ways ^^ all the stars boys' characters are near and dear to my heart, but I'm also excited to see some new faces! Returning to enthuse some about this, since I said I would! I’ll be rewatching all the sessions in order sometime when I’ve the time to really focus on it all, but I caught this one live while having a schedule that let me focus on the stream! Had so much fun with it! But am only chatty/not-nervous enough to comment about it rn! So now, here I am! I’ll be kinda concise! I absolutely was fascinated by seeing more of the worldbuilding in action, especially regarding its inhabitants and how the environment/those who live within it interact with the party! A few of my favorite aspects/moments were when people rolled for their odds with moments outside of combat, like within conversation between other members on the party and such! It was really nice getting introduced to 2 people I wasn’t hugely familiar with the vibes of previous to now! And everyone’s characters’ interactions were so intriguing as always! Thank you so much for being the DM for Holomarches, setting up this world n’ bringing each stream’s party + y’all’s audience into the world you’ve brought to life with everyone!
