I love pets so much. Any pet owner, not just dogs, can resonate with this game and the joy and sorrow that comes with having them. I’m very grateful I can wake up to my dog on my bed or have them excited when I come home from work. Gotta cherish that always.

Last year my orange cat passed. He was my best friend for 17 years. Not a day goes by that I don't think about him and get the sniffles. Give Tutu and Ghost Cat some pets for me.

I went and hugged my cat after this and he just looked at me weird worth it tho man, that vet backstory especially was hard hitting... vet or vet assistant was one of things I wanted to be growing up but the reality of what they also have to do set in and...yeah, there's enough heartbreak around, I don't know if I could handle that much more personal ones... all my appreciation to the good vets out there on a lighter note, WOOOO Dead Beats over 30, we out there!! I do wonder if the Dead Beats in their 20s are early or late tho...

Man, that ending absolutely shattered me. Recently, me and my family lost our very first pet cat after 12 years being together with us. And a month before that, we lost our grandmother. Both have passed away from old age. So, watching this ending truly breaks me down to tears. Late 2025 was really a rough time for us, but at the same time, a lot of good things did come from it as well. So, as much as how dark it was, there's always light at the end of the tunnel. So, if you guys have any loved ones who are getting old or might not be seeing for awhile (maybe probably due to work), it's best to spend your time with them. Because, the biggest regret you'll ever feel is "I didn't spend enough time with them when they're still here". Always spend time with your friends and family, people.

I'm a dog person (I'm happy you love dogs even more after this game, Dad!), and even though I knew this is an extremely emotional game... I still cried again, especially at the vet arc and the whole ending 🫂 Thank you for being vulnerable with us, especially talking about those late-night thoughts about the importance of your pets in the hard moments of your life, and the relatable fear of losing them somewhere in the future... After my family had to put our previous doggo to sleep (sadly, cancer), we also thought we would not get another doggo, but it changed around a year later, and since then we have the present doggo with us. But our present doggo is 11-years-old now, so the fear is again relatable 🫂

What you said about believing that a pet would do anything to find their owner meant so much to me. My cat passed away in September, and he also saved my life. I love him more than anything else in the world, and just hearing you say that meant the world to me. I wish all the best to you and your 2 kitties, you sound like an AMAZING pet owner. Thanks for playing this amazing game, Calli. It always makes me remember the dogs I've lost in my life. When we take pets into our lives, we're accepting the inevitable goodbye that comes with it. It's easy to get caught up in worrying about that, and nobody can be blamed for it. All we can do is enjoy the time we have with them, and make as many wonderful memories as possible, so that when our little buddies do pass on, we always have those good times to look back upon with a smile.
