When you posted the short about this year's YGO event, I was so excited to have you as a commentator again. But it was more than that. Now you are part of the team and duel as a player this year, and I have to say after watching this stream, I think it's gonna be an exciting event for everyone, and they can have fun while watching it. Congrats on the sponsorship with "Yu-Gi-Oh! MASTER DUEL" again. So happy for you. About a year ago, when you were a commentator for last year's YGO event, I barely understood anything about the game and the cards, yet it was a pleasure to watch the tournament thanks to you. Of course your voice was the main reason, but also on top of that, your commentary during the duel and the interview with other members afterwards really helped me to be interested in the game the whole time. I could feel how you studied hard to understand the games for commentary back then, and it was really impressive. Just like that time, from the moment you showed the yummy deck and explained how it works from time to time during the practice games and spectating on today's stream, I could feel that you've practiced and studied the game. I felt that especially when you play another duel after spectating other Kronies play. You were much less hesitant about what to do with the card and picked it with more confidence. Still a bit hesitant about what to do sometimes, and you got help from nice Kronies who are good at this game from the chat and practice run, but getting better and better through the stream would have been impossible if you didn't prepare or study at all. That was cool of you. Really cool and proud of it. I think spectating how other players do it was really helpful to you today. With it, playing with other human players, not CPUs, would be really good for you too. Making mistakes during the game might be frustrating, but I think it's not bad because it lasts longer in memory to prevent that from happening again. Even though I know barely anything about Yu-Gi-Oh cards and rules, I do know you are doing it right. Keep it up. You got this Oh and thanks for saving the stories and animation to watch together today. That was sweet of you. It was nice streaming. Lovely even with cute interruptions from adorable PM. I feel so sorry that AM and PM are still not on good terms after AM took a bath, and that makes you worry about them. I wonder makes AM smell like how he used to be by rubbing his stuff, like his bed or something. I hope they make up soon. Hope they get better over time, like when AM stayed overnight at the vet. They will, Kronii. They will. Alright, hope you are seeing the light while practicing the duel. Have a lovely night Kronii. Sweet dreams See you around. Love you

Thanks for the stream Kronii. I haven't touched Yugioh in several years so it was nice to get a refresher while watching you play. From what I've heard, your deck is difficult for beginners but also satisfying to pull off, and it did seem like you were enjoying yourself once you got the ball rolling, and you improved quite a bit in one night. I hope you have fun at the tournament wish you and the rest of team IP Masquerena good luck.

Yugioh is that card game where you can always get better the more you play and the card design matches the general strategy of it's gameplay. It's how you learn quickly how a deck plays and feel accomplished when you get to do your big move. Yes, there is a lot of reading and you may not know how the cards work during certain situations, but you will eventually learn what the cards do from experience and when you get better, can take advantage of that knowledge against other opponents. It rewards effort and you can definitely learn a bunch of different strategies and gameplay when you get the basic knowledge of how they work, so it's always fun to try out new decks just to see what they could potentially do in a duel. You can play meta or play a more rogue deck to develop your own strategies with different card combinations. It's a lot of fun, and meta is easily defined, but the fun in a lot of card games is making your own deck with ideas that aren't explored to see what works well and what doesn't. Yugioh with the very lax ban list and tens of thousands of cards to play definitely opens up ideas on how to play decks the way you want if you put that effort in. I hope Kronii explore just a bunch of other decks if she decides to play MD more into the future. Lots of fun just playing decks with a lot of potential and see how far that goes. Meta is also fun, but becomes very grindy at the very top of leader boards.

Thanks for the stream, Kronii. I’m genuinely impressed how quickly you were able to pick up the core elements of the game so quickly since YGO has a bit of a reputation for “words on cards,” especially working with a fairly meta deck nowadays that can even be tricky for long-time players to pilot well. Forgive the giant wall of text in advance, typed this next part up ahead of time. For anyone else who is picking up YGO for the first time and wants to look into augmenting your deck to be a bit more competitively viable, there are a handful of cards which are considered "staples", as in cards that are generically good and can be added into most decks, though I would say in most cases you still want to aim to keep your main deck around 40 cards because it generally means more consistency in terms of drawing cards that plan into whatever gameplan your deck is attempting to do, though there are others where they might benefit from running closer to the max limit of 60 cards. While there are a LOT of cards considered staples nowadays, I tried to narrow this list down to what I think are the ones that see the most consistent play across the board, though it's not a guarantee they'll show in every competitive deck since some decks are very tight in terms of cards they need to make certain plays. After a match in Master Duel, you can also look at your opponent’s deck and see what they’re playing if there’s anything you saw that interests you or if you want to go over their effects more in detail. Handtraps (i.e. Effect Monsters which can be sent from the hand to your Graveyard to interrupt your opponent's plays on either turn as long as their activation conditions are met) - Maxx C: A necessary evil in Master Duel: Gives you a free draw any time your opponent Special Summons a monster during that turn, but you can only have one copy in the deck. Can be a good tool to make your opponent second guess if they want to combo off too much if it'll give you a bunch of cards in return. - Mulcharmy Fuwalos/Purulia: Somewhat weaker versions of Maxx C that are a bit more situational and can only be used when you have nothing on your side of the field, but have the benefit of being able to have 3 copies of each in the deck vs. Maxx C's 1. Fuwalos gives you draws from any Special Summons that are done straight from the Deck or Extra Deck, and Purulia gives you draws for any summons done straight from the hand whether Normal or Special. The downside is there is a stipulation in each card's effect that effectively hard caps how may draws you might be able to have at the end of your turn, so you do NOT want to use these on any turn where Maxx C's effect is active because you'll have to return some cards to your deck at the end of the turn. You don’t HAVE to run 3 of each in a deck unless you really want to, but I would say it’s probably good to have at least 3 cards between the two of them just to increase your consistency in drawing them in your opening hand. - Ash Blossom & Joyous Spring: VERY important handtrap since it can be used to interrupt your opponent's combos as resolving it will ensure they either; 1) can't draw a card from the deck, 2) Special Summon a Monster from the deck, or 3) send a card from the deck to the graveyard. Would recommend running 3 copies of this in most cases, pretty much a neccesity in every deck nowadays. There are some sister cards like Ghost Belle & Haunted Mansion and Ghost Ogre & Snow Rabbit that perform similar functions to Ash, but Ash is used almost universally across the board. - Droll & Lockbird: If your opponent draws a card outside of their draw phase, Droll can be used to shut down any other potential extra draws during that turn as well. Have to be careful with this one since it applies the anti-draw effect to both players, so if you activated a Maxx C or Mulcharmy during your opponent's turn and then use Droll, you shut off your own ability to draw extra cards as well. Monsters: - Lava Golem/Kaiju: Lava Golem and Kaiju cards perform a very unique sort of removal that seems counter intuitive at first since you're Tributing your opponent's monsters to give them a monster in exchange, but the upside is that this particular method in most cases will not be able to be countered so it is a great method of removing monsters with powerful effects that might otherwise prevent you from making plays. Some cards have effects that activate if they get destroyed or otherwise sent to the graveyard, but may be unable to activate their effects if they were sent there through the act of a Tribute. Lava Golem lets you sacrifice 2 of your opponent's monsters, and any Kaiju can be summoned from tributing 1 monster on your opponent's side: Gameciel is the most commonly played Kaiju for this purpose because it has the lowest Attack Points out of all of them, so you can more easily summon a monster that can beat over it in the Battle Phase. - Niburu: Nibiru like Maxx C can be used as a tool to punish your opponent if they Summon way too many times on their turn. As soon as they hit 5 summons (you can wait until they do more but 5 is the absolute minimum they have to do), you can use Nibiru to destroy every face-up monster on the field (which can include your own so be careful), Summon it from your own hand to your own field, and then Special Summon a token on your opponent's side of the field that has the combined Attack Points and Defense Points of all the monsters that were destroyed from the effect. In many cases, this can be a big point of interruption in combos just from the monster removal effect alone, and you can set the created Token to Defense Mode so your opponent can't even use it during the Battle Phase that turn. Obviously the item you need to watch out for here is just having a way of getting it off the field afterwards, but the token has no card effect protection or anything so you should hopefully have a method of getting it off the field before your opponent's next turn. - Bystial Druiswurm: Can be very handy to have in a pinch if you or your opponent plays Light or Dark Attribute Monsters since if your opponent has one on the field, you can banish a monster of either attribute from either graveyard at Quick Effect speed to summon it from your hand which can interrupt monsters that might have effects in the grave. Also has a good removal effect when it goes from the field to the graveyard if your opponent has a Special Summoned Monster that’s hard to get off the field.

Yesterday, I didn’t know how to play Yu-Gi-Oh Master Duel, but after watching a few videos, I was able to learn the basics in just a couple of hours. I know how to play somewhat now, and watching you practice was really fun I learned a lot too. I had a feeling you might go for the Yummy meta or the Dragonmaid, which I might choose, it’s really fun learning a new game watch out Kaiba theres a new Duelist in town
