Thank you for the stream! It was fun to watch you play silksong again! It's a good balance between interesting gaming and comfy zatsu. Vod question, I really like when music in games go extra hard in being epic, like with full orchestra and choirs. It makes me look forward for potential concerts of those games. From the top of my head, I can think of FF series, but there are many more.

Glad you had a couple of hours to just yap and bug out. You out here Silkin' it. Q: I listen to way too much video game music help this is a hard question. I'm gonna pull and Octavio and say that all the Drakenier music is spectacular. It's made me greatly appreciate chaos langauge in music and makes it easier to just get lost in it. And yet I think the best video game SONG ever is from none of those games. It's from this Earthbound fangame called Cognitive Dissonace, and the song is called "Ghosts." I love it because for some strange reason, the song just fits whatever emotion you're feeling at the time (sad, thoughtful, happy, lost). I've listened to that one song on repeat for hours and I even wrote a good chunk of my work just listening to THAT song alone. Also don't get me started on the version with lyrics I-

Thanks for the stream idk about the best game ost but the most memorable ones to me are most of the music in pokemon black/white and heartgold(nimbasa city, any route music, etc), as well as new super mario bros. for the ds. I've played those games over and over again for years, so the music is ingrained in my very soul. Unfortunately I'm not really observant when it comes to music in games, but Ima try to take some time to just listen to what these games have to offer.

OtsuRuze~~! It's nice to hear you yap normally again, I missed this Q: Best OST? Chrono Trigger, no question. Yasunori Mitsuda cooked with those tracks and every song is memorable; shoutouts to "Frog's Theme", "Corridors of Time" and "Tyranno Lair" ALSO MAGUS BATTLE, TOO MANY GOOD SONGS

OTSU! Vod question answer... I don't know if it's the best out there cause of my limited gaming repertoire but I always go back to listening to Bravely Default OST. The game mechanics also has something like, using your ultimate skill activates character themes, and for that whole duration of the song, your party gets a buff. And on the last boss battle, when all feels hopeless and bleak, drowned by the music "Serpent Eating the Ground", the character themes starts playing one by one and the effect on you is bonkers. I always listen to the tracks when working on a deadline cause the boss battle themes gives u the sense of urgency (esp if you're crippled by time blindness). My fave on the track is "Love's Vagrant", and I tricked my brain by listening to it on loop while I draw/work. Now, whenever I don't feel like drawing, I listen to the track and my body instinctively goes on work mode. I basically Pavlov's classical conditioning my brain to work while listening to my fave game ost.

Thanks for the stream, Ruze! Looking forward to more Silksong This vod question is impossible to narrow down. There are too many games with exceptionally good OSTs, each perfectly suited to their game and incomparable to each other. WoW, Undertale, Gris, Celeste, Transistor, Outer Wilds, Persona 5, Dead Cells, Expedition 33... I can't answer without at least listing all those. Attempts to pick one above the rest were futile.

Thanks for the stream! I haven’t played a lot of games but I always gravitate towards JRPG OSTs. For the longest time it was the Final Fantasy series. My 3 most favorite FF OSTs are VIII, XIII-2 and XIV. But I also love the OST of Chrono Cross and Nier.

VIVA LA PIZZA REVOLUTION!!! VODQ: I cannot pick one- my favorites OSTs are Honkai Star Rail, Starbound, and Skyrim. I haven’t played Tainted Grail yet, but from what I’ve watched from your streams I really enjoy it’s OST too.

Thank you for the Silksong stream Ruze! I love watching your reactions to all the amazing music and characters. Even if you do make it look so easy. vod question: Best game soundtrack ost of all time is Dragon Age Origins by Inon Zur!! It immediately gives you the feel of a daunting but epic adventure is about to happen. Clair Obscure is the first game in a long time that had music that effected me that strongly since DAO. It's literally so beautiful in parts i get teary eyed.

Thanks for the stream Ruze! VOD question: I'd have to say the best OST is from Tales of Symphonia. I've never forgotten any of those tracks, they're too good! Like, you can't tell me Fatalize/ Fighting of the Spirit (Symphonia ver specifically) isn't the best thing ever.

Thank you for the silk songs Vod question: The game OSTs I listen to over and over are from Legend of Mana, Chrono Cross and Journey, mostly for nostalgia's sake but also because they invoke nostalgia. All three have qualities that call back to bygone days and happier times, whether you listen to them for the first time or the thousandth time. It's hard to pick THE best one when I have these three to keep me warm XD

Best video game OST...? I can't choose! There's so many good ones. But. I can choose best video game /song./ And people might raise an eyebrow at this, but my choice is Dancing Mad from Final Fantasy 6. For a song to be packed with references to many leitmotifs heard across the game, classical music (which I wonder if Uematsu decided to do after seeing the sprites, since they are heavily referencing the Divine Comedy and religious imagery in general, or if it was something he did on his own), and also provide insight to the final boss's mindset itself.... That is no easy feat. And this was all done on the SNES! While it had a more powerful sound chip than people think, it can't have been an easy feat. The song itself (without any parts looped) is a little over twelve minutes! Sure, I love so many OSTs and songs, including those Uematsu contributed to, but I don't think any video game composer has come close in the over thirty years since this game came out to accomplishing what this song has. (Look it has entire /essays/ dedicated to dissecting it on Youtube, which can go into further detail than I can.) Even if you haven't played FF6, I highly recommend seeking this song out. The remix done by the Black Mages is also fantastic, and I recommend it as well.

Thanks for the bug game stream! Vod question answer: picking a best ost of all time is pretty tough… While the pkmn gen 4 ost is really good and translates well to keyboard and lives rent free in my brain, I’ve started really enjoying the Blasphemous soundtrack

I get it. It's the monologues that make you think theater kid definitely....so many words and so many syllables per word. Man loves language and monologues. All the swear words lead you away from theater kid though.

Thank you for the stream VOD Question, what is the best video game OST ever? I am going to say Final Fantasy XIV, a lot of the songs hit me really hard in that game. Also I listen to so many of them all the time.
