Prepare the ship for launch, there's more secrets to be uncovered in the vastness of the universe! Some so profound that they might shake the very foundations upon which the solar system was built... We learned a lot more about the Nomai this time around, what their aim was and what experiements they concudcted to test the limits of the planets - the sun in particular seems to have caught their interest! From the sun's siren call to smacking into stone pillars, our jester did a little dance and a little song before ere long we found note of the High Energy Lab as well as further information on inaccurate measurements. The Attlerock held a most curious puzzle, the meaning to be discovered later in time. For now, those contraptions with their corresponding markings spinning around looked as though they depicted the solar system itself like some sort of map. Written logs from Chert indicated them wondering about the large dial as well and made mention of the Quantum Moon, to be found through some sort of locator. The Frozen Shuttle inspected, the Ash Twin was the next target. Who would've thought it functioned like an hourglass together with its twin! Sand retracting revealed a structure. And at last, the High Energy Lab too! It was used as a base to construct the Ash Twin Project by the looks of it... And it could only be accessed from the shuttle from earlier? Not with our jester as the explorer! Ghost matter stopped in a mere matter of seconds showed the path forward and further ahead to the shelter site. In there, more lore regarding an Anglerfish Overlook District and a crushing defeat caused by rising sand. In a literal sense. Interestingly enough that there were Nomai who opposed the construction of the Sun Station in order to cause the annihilation of the universe yet despite the danger, it was approved. Is it because their thirst for knowledge and gaining such knowledge through scientific means won in the end? Insane speedrun strat by the by, you had the way to the shelter ingrained into your memory and those trees came in clutch! That said, records gave even more insight: Experimenting with a small black core and a white one were used to test teleportation. However, there was an anomaly and the Southern Observatory demanded a 22-minute interval be created for a time lapse. Furthermore, the Ash Twin Project was the Nomai's largest undertaking yet due to the fact of towers needing to be constructed on different planets. And the sun dying of old age... Does that mean when the station proved to be a failure it birthed the idea of the Ash Twin Project and the experimenting was connected to the supernova activating after 22 minutes? A theory in need of being confirmed! What followed after could only be described as absolute cinema: Working with the warp cores to test teleportation had you remove a core while the telport was running, meaning there were two of the same object which would refer to a mistake in causality and thus led to the fabric of spacetime ripping at the seams. The dread you'd preemptively put on your model now emphasized the shock after witnessing what you saw and I cannot tell you how hard I laughed during that moment, especially since you moved to turning stream off and on as soon as the credits concluded. It caused me a coughing fit alright, made worse by my sister who'd played the game explain what transpired for me to understand better. I take my hat off before you Sir Jester, that was beautiful, beautiful work. Respect the committment to the bit. o7 Congratulations on reaching one of the endings! The whole segment of setting the timer with Siri to test the 22 minutes theory took me out. Into the unknown on Brittle Hollow, flying the shuttle into the sand for a jumpscare and into the sun were all incredibly funny. Also the "Plop" sound on Hollow's Lantern! Hilarious. But we learned of a signal beneath the surface on the Interloper comet and you decided to inspect Timber Hearth more closely! So the Nomai mined down in Timber Hearth for ore to build the shell of the Quantum Towers. Fascinating! Back in the Sunless City awaited studies of anglerfish. Also mastered the art of the pathway! Entering the fish cave from the High Energy Lab being as impressive as it is, I simply adore how your playthrough is unconvential yet convenient. Not your customary run-off-the-mill exploration but your very own, making this playthrough so unique. Only 18 seconds remaining on the timer was too close for comfort, we run it back though! And you and getting the steam achievement for burning marshmallows galore, why am I not surprised? Thus, new goal unlocked: reaching the Quantum Moon, said to only appear when it is not watched. Your ship taking off upside down took me out! When your autopilot becomes sentient and leaves you behind... So long, space cowboy. Eventually, Brittle Hollow was within reach and we were able to watch our resident game breaker at work trying to find a way into the Tower of Knowledge. Up on the roof, the glass floor showed inscriptions inside a room below. Something about quantum shard frequencies as well... Curious. With some messing around, the whole tower was thrown into the black hole which apparently was the key! Unfortunately no time, the supernova snuck up faster than anticipated. What a sight to behold, there she went. No more timers needed, the whole universe exploded. Your genius knows no bounds either it seems, landing perfectly inside the storm on Giant's Deep! Another tower... And trials. "Observing an image of a quantum object, they are the same". In simpler terms, Schrödinger's cat. It's there and at the same time, it isn't. Took me a bit to understand the principle too, it's clever! While the struggle was quite amusing to watch, what had me die of laughter was asking Siri about grammar and semantics. Having knowledge in that field through translator studies, I was howling. In the end you solved it just fine and even cracked the case of the crystals moonwalking up backwards! You never cease to amaze, truly. Gaining the knowledge of quantum imaging, Timber Hearth was a brief stop on the way for some flavor lore. Nomai met Hearthians as small kids! Back at it with the Quantum Moon, there were remnants of a Nomai having landed on it then continuing her journey from the south up to the north. A bit of trial and error but you landed! And subsequently squishing someone. Twice. Nevermind the sun madness taking over for a little, you and your shenanigans! Looks like what's left for the rest of the journey was the rule of entanglement with a trip to Lakebed Cave! I look forward how you'll progress from here on out!
