The ending was always bound to be bittersweet with all the grief that permeated the game from the start. A great story because it flows naturally and logically from the character's actions. It makes us care.

I think at least Verso's ending there was still future & hope, Alicia no need to addict to an illusion, she can find another what makes her happy IRL. And she won't die like the 2nd ending, right...?

Well, do you still hate Twostave? Does he still just exist to you? Even in spite of spending 90% of the time with expedition 33 I'm more sympathetic with Renoir and painted Verso's motives
