I realized almost every song in Re:Vision reminds me of some videogame music and I really love that, hololive and videogame music are pretty much the only genres I listen to anymore. Making a cinematic universe/mystery out of them was really fun and it's completely understandable if we have to wait a long time for the next big one. You can't rush peak.

Lovely lovely EP, I really like all the songs you've put out! Especially Abyssal Hymn, and I can't wait for the BIG MV! Gonna have to practice hard for D2D... I'm guessing the "blue" song we need to learn is gonna be Gunjou, but will the ceiling survive that? Might need a cheering guide for Takover too... Keep up the good work, we'll continue to chill here in our corner of the internet with you as long as it takes for world domination!

Thank you for the stream, Ina 💜💜💜 Congrats on the release of the EP! Without going into how I interpreted every individual song (too long for Youtube), here's my theory which I shared on the Tako-cord (slightly edited to accommodate it to here) earlier today: +How I believe the basic version of the timelines goes: Temari -> Takodachi No Uta -> (Violet + Takotakover) -> Abyssal Hymn -> Meconopsis Those in parenthesis happening simultaneously. +The participating characters as determined to the best of my ability: -Ninomae Ina'nis: She's motivated by the loss of her friend/sister, who was also one of the priestess candidates (In Temari, the Temari ball that repeated in the shots of Older Ina is the same one Younger Ina was holding). Empowered by the resurrection ritual in Temari, and with the AO-Chan in hand - Which the Visitor's script indicated to be The Necronomicon (a book known to enslave the souls of the dead) - she prayed endlessly to the Ancient Ones in hopes that she could make contact with her (Violet MV), but she could only ever see her in her dreams (Takodachi No Uta), and suspiciously each time she tries to remember what happened in Temari said sister is never present in her recollection of the events (we never see her, who was explicitly mentioned in the lyrics as someone Ina wanted to see again, and is the common thread in all the songs, in Temari's MV - the ONE time you'd expect her to). Either she successfully sacrificed the entire world to the Ancient Ones, turning them all into takos and altering their memories, effectively rewriting history (a revision of it) in Takover, or she rebelled against them but trapped them and herself (becoming the cage) in Meconopsis, and then went on to rewrite her past self's memories to try to stabilize the timeline regardless of the outcome, but not always arrived at the same ending (sometimes we arrive at Takotakover, sometimes we arrive at Meconopsis) - essentially a revision of the timeline that happened repeatedly and endlessly - a story that never quite ended (that said, I'm assuming Abyssal Hymn's MV will be with Meconopsis as the ending). -The Missing Sister: She was sacrificed in the resurrection ritual of the Ancient Ones, and is presumably been sent to beyond "the beginning and the end", from which Ina pulled her out and then made her the very first takodachi to Ina's eternal guilt. Just to not discount the possibility that she's alive (and she might be in some versions of the timeline), but alive, and either *she* became Ninomae Ina'nis, escaped the island successfully, or survived the ritual and also attained the powers of the Ancient Ones (matter of fact, the Visitor's script in Temari's MV mentioned a second Ina with a different destiny): --The first one does change the ending of the story, specifically that she may or may not gone on to become the WAHcher (more on that in their entry), and if she is; she did a separate ritual that enabled her to make contact with "Ina" in Abyssal Hymn, freeing her from the prison inside her head at the cost of her sanity (In Temari's MV as her hair turned white, she shined like sun - a ray of hope), but tragically didn't realize that she was talking to the sister she just as desperately wanted to see believing she was talking to herself, and was banished to Beyond The Void (and this opens up the possibility that the same scenario happened with the sisters once more having switched places). --The second one leaves me with a cold trail, but it would change Takotakover's context and make Violet and Abyssal Hymn hit different. Note, the events of the first possibility are not at all impeded by her not having the Ancient Ones powers, but it does change at what point did she get them. --The third one also changes Takotakover's context but in a different way (by turning her into Takotakover Ina) and directly pits her against Meconopsis Ina, but it makes Abyssal Hymn even sadder. Oh, she too altered the surviving child's memories - either past her's or her sister's - who would then become Ninomae Ina'nis (if this is true, then one has some of the other's memories.) -The Ancient Ones: Their main goal is to consume the minds, bodies and souls of all who live, and subsume them into themselves, where they may use their voices to prey upon more victims. They also share all the same abilities Ina has (memory alteration, contacting themselves at different point in time, takofication, possession of people and computer/television screens, and they may even have the ability to impersonate those they have consumed). -The Original Priestess of the Ancient Ones: Six kids were all told they would be known as Ninomae Ina'nis and be the head of the family from then on (Visitor's Script in Temari), but only one lived. And this was all during the resurrection ritual in Temari, and it can't be to resurrect the Ancient Ones as they aren't dead, so she likely did exist, but her resurrection was more her possessing the body of the surviving kid. If the Takodachi lodged inside Ina's brain in Takotakover is literal, then implication is that those takodachis are not just Ina's followers, they are The Original Priestess back up bodies in case the current one somehow manages to break free. Now taking into account how dishonest Takotakover Ina was already being from the get go (one of the reasons Meconopsis Ina turned against the Ancient Ones), her vacant eyes, all the imagery indicating "Infection", and that she made it clear she would literally eat any who may even suggest things aren't happy - Enforcing a fake happiness or creating the "world without love" (the other reason she turned against Ancient Ones) - which in and of itself is contradictory to her motives in Meconopsis. All of this combined does a lot to suggest that there is someone inside Ina's head besides Ina, (and that Ina is trapped in a dream world where she prays endlessly, leading to the events of Violet MV, just to complete all the mentions of sleeping and waking up), and that someone is having Takotakover happen. That said, her reason for that still was to get the world to heal, which remains consistent with the motives of the Ina we do follow throughout the songs (a death of a loved one, that she brought back from the dead and turned into the first tako in Tako No Uta), and accounting for the theory that the priestesses of the Ancient Ones can alter the memories of their past selves and those they come in contact with, this does open the possibility that The "Original Priestess" is less a separate Ninomae Ina'nis, and more one and the same, just that she managed to change her past self's memories to try and ensure the same story repeated and not always succeeded. The only thing that is clear, in this part of theory, is that "Ninomae Ina'nis" is a title. -The WAHcher: "I just make sure the one called Ina can happily live where she is, so that the world doesn't end (giggles) no, I just watch over stuff, basically", "But without me here, her world might end, so you know I get bored but I stay here as always" These are her stated motives and goals. She resides in place called Beyond The Void, which can only be accessed from Tako Lane, a place that's a white circle and is (I think, not sure) submerged. In Violet's MV, whenever Ina prayed she did it against a white circle, glowed white like moon, and was always submerged, and in Temari's MV "heading towards the beginning and the end" was always mentioned as a place from beyond which Ina was hearing voices, and that bit could be interpreted as Beyond The Void, and that place's walls when brightened up look like a Temari ball, which were used in both rituals in Temari's MV. Unless the Moon itself is an Ancient One and she a manifestation of them, it point to the WAHcher being Ina's missing sister, furthermore two of the possibilites regarding her fate are also consistent with her stated motives. I suspect that she was the first Takodachi in some versions of the timeline, but in others it was her instead of her sister who became "Ninomae Ina'nis" and later (but not in every version) The WAHcher +Miscellaneous thoughts: -The WAHcher said we wouldn't remember their first and so far only appearance. Either more evidence for the memory alteration or a hint that it was a dream -I had a few of other ideas for Meconopsis Ina's goals, though I didn't think they were too pertinent to anything: --One in which she rebels in an attempt to pry her sister's soul away from them, figuring that if they won't give her what she wants then she'll take it by force. After this stream, I do not believe in this possibility anymore. --And one in which she does so having realized that the Ancient Ones will repeat the same tragedy they visited upon her before unto others, and wants to stop them so no one might be hurt by them again. --Things get slightly different if the souls of those consumed by the Ancient Ones are salvageable: In that it doesn't just become a fight to save the living but also the dead. -It occurred to me that the sun might be another Ancient One, based on the color associated with them and the rainbow gleam in Temari, but I decided this was really flimsy. -Everyone who could in every version of the timeline had a reason to edit in and out Ina's sister into/out of her memory. -It occurred to me that the missing sister never existed and was inserted into Ina's memory, but with the release of the EP; I've come to believe that, no, she's not a fabrication of the Ancient Ones. -Japanese is the language of the Ancient Ones. Ina always sings in it whenever she's using AO-chan's powers in all songs. This is most evident in Takotakover where the Takos speak in japanese, and all the lyrics related to making takos (right after "we have to cook") are in japanese. -*Everything should be taken with a grain of salt.*
