4 years ago, I was a depressed college student burnt out from everything and not wanting to do anything else in life. Ever since I watched your debut, I kept coming back to your streams because they were so comfy and silly , from your silly noises to your beautiful singing and unhinged drawings and tangents , I have kept me going at one of the lowest point in my life. I now have a stable job and have bought many pieces of your merch and concert tickets , and will always remember the joy your streams have brought me. Thank you for everything, Mumei

I know the big day is technically tomorrow, but I might as well say it here; Mumei, you were the one who managed to drag me into this rabbit hole when you debuted, an I'm grateful for that. I was going through a rough summer when you came along, and watching you and the rest of HoloEN turned out to be a great means to take my mind off the pain. As a hooman, I'm proud to share so many interests, so many moments and so many laughs. Even though this is the start of the end of the road, I wouldn't trade these past 4 years for anything (except maybe the moments where I probably felt like a genuine pain in the neck). Thank you for introducing me to Hololive, for being my first vtuber in general, and above all else, for being my kamioshi! I hope your next new start will do as much for you as this one did for me, but until then, I bid you a fond and final farewell!

Me at 21 years old crying over a vtuber, all thanks to you. words can't describe what you've done for me but know I've gained the strength to become a better person because of you. Your lovely singing and wonderful and eventful streams always gave me a place to feel safe and forget about all of the world's problems, even if it was just for a little while. My heart tears apart to say goodbye to you, but it is happy for a new beginning of your life. The world is lucky to have someone as remarkable as you. My heart is weeping today knowing that you’ll not be here with us anymore. No matter where you go, you shall always be an important part of my life. Even if I'm never a part of them again, I hope you continue to create great things. I will miss you and as my only oshi, my Kami Oshi, you will always have a place of fondness in my heart. I’m just going to put this here since I don’t think my fan letter is going to get to Japan in time due to the easter holidays, my countries post system isn’t great for letters even though I sent it weeks ago. Just wanted to say that these 4 years have been great, thank you for being here entertaining us. Your karaoke streams were always a highlight – your voice is so beautiful, and your singing talent is amazing. I hope you find a doctor that can fix your throat so you can sing freely, but even if you can’t I hope you keep singing even if we no longer get to hear it. Your taste of music was great as well. I am going to miss hearing those “oh hi”, the little shy giggle you do when the other girls complement/flirt with you, the other cute sounds you make, your ability to go from cute to yandere and back on a dime, the ability to make memes from such simple things like berries or flower, and most of all the silly fun you put into every stream. All that and your interactions with the other girls; I’m going to miss it all. Your artist(mum) did such a great job at designing you. Your model fit you perfectly. And the friend design was great. I purchased two of the friend tote bags to use for my shopping (I was only planning to buy one but messed up and purchased two, a happy mistake). I sometimes get people asking about it. Most of your merch I use on weekly, from your notebook (I use as a recipes book), to your foldable key holder I use for dice rolling. I hope that you find happiness in what you do next, and that your friendship with the other girls lasts a lifetime. If you keep looking into windows as a hobby maybe you will look into mine or another fans window one day and see how much people love you. Us Hoomans and owl pals love you and will miss you. I hope you remember us fondly. Thank you for being our silly owl, our towl, our idowl, our Mooms, but most important thank you for being Nanashi Mumei!

When Mumei debuted, I was intrigued by her lore the forgetful "Guardian of civilization" and her friend , then I was captivated by Mumei's personality and antics. From her drawings that gave us and taranChama, to her obsession with ,to her innocent and sometimes...less innocent antics. Then came her original music that in my opinion perfectly complimented her lore...gods know how many times I've listened to "a new start" and "Mumei"... The interaction with other Council and later Promise members and the rest of hololive... Now all that will remain is an owl shaped hole that won't ever be able to be refilled. A third seat in the council that will remain empty forevermore. A member of Promise whose absence will be felt. I know there is still the 3d graduation and some other projects but let's face it, Mumei is now gone, onwards to make yet another new start, to search for what the "new" Hololive failed to provide. Let's hope that we'll meet her again, even if she's no longer our guardian of civilization, even if she looks somewhat different. Goodbye Nanashi Mumei, know that you were appreciated for all you did for us Hololive fans. P.S: Now as I did with other Holo EN members that Graduated, I'll post all of Mumei's Emotes, for posterity.

While I wrote a small thing on the 3D live, that seems to be gone now, so ill add it here and update it here as long as Mumei's comments stay active. I was in a. not so great place when I first started getting into hololive. And Mumei was well, the first out of the 5, the other 3 that got me into Vtubers as a whole have already left and the last will be gone soon, but now it's time for our favorite guardian to join them. I do really hope Mumei's health improves so we may see her again in some way, it's been a few hours since she has officially flown off, and my stomach has never felt more knotted for the future and my head never more heavy for the present. I will never forget the moment of joy and light Mumei and the others have given me while I was in the dark and helping me break my shell and start actually enjoying live and making steps to live one as well. I will forever remember our nameless guardian, our beloved owl, our Mumei 🤎 And to be sure I will never forget, I'll show up here, every day if I can, and add onto this counter April 28th 2025 day 0, of still moomin on, Don Don!

It's really been a roller coaster of emotion hearing the totsu, probably lost count how many times I balled my eyes out . Show so much loved she is by other members. I was broke the first time when Gura mentioned Mumei had that positivity flip card which is so true to her. Mumei is so sweet that she just wants to radiate positivity, fun, and silliness all the time. She may be overwhelmed by all nice things from all directions, but she truly deserves it all. We love Mumei and always will. We'll keep Moomin everyday even when she flies away so high 🕊️. Wishing nothing but the best for our Moom. 🪶🤎 PS. Don't forget to hydrate Hoomans. We still need that hydration for tomorrow.

While I didn't intently follow Mumei's streams, I did enjoy the humorous clips I saw, always finding them entertaining. Even as a second-generation EN member, her contributions to the growth of the EN branch are undeniable. I will miss her, as I do all graduating talents; it's never easy. I wish her all the best in her future endeavors and hope she finds happiness and success. We, her Hoomans, will always support her. ❤

3 years ago I was in the debts of a stress induced writing block trying desperately to finish my bachelor. That's when late one night I listened to your first original song, "A New Start". It made me cry in a way I haven't before or since as it snapped me out of my frustration and depression as all the pent up emotions came flooding through. I was able to stop worrying and start working, knowing that no matter what happened, my map would be filled with color. And I made it, I passed, with a decent grade even. It's because of you that I have the ability to continue my dream today, and I will forever be grateful to you for that. I have been a fan ever since, and so. Thank you, for the laughter, the crying, the streams and the songs, and above else, thank you for the company and everything else you have given to us all. You are an amazing person and I wish you the very best of luck on your new start.
